Tightened things up especially in dense music with a lot of bass. I also found that I liked having Minimize Peaks checked along with Silence Harmonics. I just think it is really tricky to sway much from "neutral." They are definitely trying to work the "analog" angle with warm and exceptional detail with this program, creating potential beauty and potential trouble. With these settings it first sounded a little lean, but now that I listen more, I prefer the more live sound, still hearing plenty of Audirvana's efforts for warmth. So I went to work and found that lowering the steepness more, now at 135, helped the ringing. 139 seemed a pretty good next step, until I found an EST piano track with pretty intense ringing, especially on dynamic high notes. The MKIV is really fast, dynamic and powerful though. I am finding 150 too in-the-face and for many recordings, too dense in my system/room. And relative to that, also has some impact on ringing. On the Audio Filters tab, the steepness effects the intensity of signal "push," dynamics and body. I have discovered a few things sound-wise (I think). so I think I like the more dynamic and articulate sound of 1, which I mention first because this effects the rest. I am tending to Mode 1 on the Integer for the Tranquility, perhaps since it already does texture and space so musically. You probably already knew this, but I finally figured out that if I click the stop button on Audirvana, it will allow preference changes. What do you think? Has this helped your computer playback? My rendu is currently in this state and I pasted the debug info below. Not sure what I'm supposed to do here, but restart MPD followed by a reboot usually does not help. Sometimes, as I go through the steps in the link I get to a situation where MPD/DNLA tab shows three buttons instead of the usual 'save' button: Restart MPD, Clear MPD Database, Clear DNLA Cache. I use the steps in the link below and usually resolve the problem, but sometimes it takes number efforts including unplugging the dac etc. I also have a problem where everything is working fine, and suddenly music stops playing in the middle of a song or as I switch tracks (the behavior from that follows is the same as when I cannot initially play music). Audirvana will load a track but it just sits without playing. I have been having strange problems where my MicroRendu will not play music streamed from Audirvana.
